Hot or cold this is one smoothie you have to try.
Serves 2 Prep time 5 minutes
Ingredients
1 large very ripe banana
1 heaped tablespoon of chia seeds
A dash of organic vanilla essence
250 mls of unsweetened almond milk or non dairy milk of your choice
2 teaspoons of cold pressed coconut butter
Nutmeg to sprinkle on top (optional)
Method
Gently warm the milk in a saucepan on the stove top. Next add the remaining ingredients (except the nutmeg) to a blender. When the milk is very warm but not boiling add it to the blender and blend for approximately 1 minute. If left to stand it will thicken. Pour into a large mug or tall glass sprinkle with nutmeg and enjoy.
