|
Ingredients
500grams fresh blood plums chopped and pitted
1/2 tab fresh ginger
1 small red onion
1 tab lemon juice
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup organic apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup coconut palm sugar
1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes
1/2 teaspoons Himalayan Salt
1/2 teaspoon Chinese Five Spice
Method
Place all ingredients into a large pot and bring to the boil. Simmer for 40 minutes. Allow to cool for approximately 20 minutes. Transfer to a smaller bowl and use a stick mixer or food processor to create a smooth sauce. You can also sieve the sauce at this point to make it super smooth. Transfer into a jam jar and store in the refrigerator. Last approximately one month. Goes beautifully served with duck, pork or cabbage salad and even Okonomiyaki.
